Following is the condensed listing of SRV "import" CD's. This list was created by stripping out all of the track listings from the comprehensive listing. The update notes, which can be found at the end of comprehensive list, have also been removed. Other than these deletions, the two lists should be identical. This list is being provided for those who prefer a more compact listing for taking to CD shows, etc. An HTML version of this file, including complete track listings and graphics for the CD cover art, is located at Bob Willmot's website (http://www.willmot.com/SRV/). If you know of any other additions or corrections that need to be made to this list, please send them to Derrick Sorensen (derrick@seasil.com) or Bob Willmot (bob@willmot.com) and we'll make the necessary changes. Happy Hunting, Derrick ================================Beginning of List=============================== Stevie Ray Vaughan "Import" CD's Compiled by Derrick Sorensen (derrick@seasil.com) Revised: 26aug98 (151 titles) ----------------------------- Accolades - 4-CD Compilation [Whoopy Cat, WKP-0036-0039] CD 1: (78:01, 15 tracks) Juneteenth Blues Festival, Houston, Texas, 19jun79 (tracks 1-10), (tracks 5-9 with Lou Ann Barton), poor sound Rome Inn, Austin, Texas, 20apr80 (tracks 11-15) CD 2: (65:00, 10 tracks) Opry House?, Austin, mar83? (tracks 1-4) Good sound quality but tape speed varies (wow effect). Opry House?, Austin, mar84?, w/Jimmy Vaughan (tracks 5-9) Very good sound quality. El Mocambo Club, Toronto, Canada, 11jul83 (track 10) CD 3: (72:51, 14 tracks), Excellent sound. Dallas Sound Labs, Dallas, mar-apr85 (tracks 1,4-6,8-14) ("Soul To Soul" sessions) The tracks above have been verified to be identical to certain tracks on the "Soul To Soul" sessions tapes, which contain over 13 hours of material. The remaining tracks cannot be matched to any material on the tapes, so they may be from different studio sessions, possibly the "Couldn't Stand The Weather" sessions. The liner notes incorrectly attribute some of the "STS" tracks to the "CSTW" sessions, so the recording dates listed therein cannot be trusted. Tracks 4,6,8,11-13 can be found on the "Life Without You" 4CD set. Tracks 1,11,13,14 can be found on the "Unsurpassed Masters" set. CD 4: Performing Arts Center, Saratoga, NY, 30jun85 (77:07, 10 tracks) Track listings on cover are totally screwed-up, the correct track listing is in the notes column below. Has good sound quality but poor mix, guitars low, keyboards high. Alpine Valley - Alpine Valley, Berlin, & Montreal [??, TICD 069/70] (2CD) Overall sound quality appears to be the same as other titles containing Alpine Valley material (mono, below average - average audience recording). Pull-out liner notes include a list of certain SRV gigs from 1977 to 1990 (which may have been culled from Craig Keyzer's similar list), plus a photo of the helicopter crash, presumably for the morbidly curious. Also issued in CD-R format by [Hawg Leg Records, HL128/129] (Luxembourg, 1997) with different photos on CD cover. CD 1: Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI, 26aug90 (63:57, 13 tracks) CD 2: (62:12, 10 tracks) Alpine Valley (tracks 1-2), The Sector Club, West Berlin, Germany, 3sep83? We Are Called Double Trouble - various club shows plus studio material [Dandelion, DL 008/9/10/11/12] (5CD set) (Netherlands, 1998) CD 1: [DL008] (72:02, 17 tracks) Live at The Soap Creek Saloon, Austin, Texas, 02mar79 Tracks 9-13 include Lou Ann Barton on vocals. Average audience recording with good sound mix. The vocals are clear and loud but the bass guitar is quite saturated and makes the music difficult to listen to sometimes, especially on "Boilermaker" and the tracks that follow. The mix changes a little in the middle of the show and when Lou Ann sings. Probably from a very low generation master as there's nearly no noise and hiss. CD 2: [DL009] (71:03, 16 tracks) Live at The Cascade Room in The Knickerbocker Cafe, Westerly, RI, 22nov79 Tracks 9-15 include Lou Ann Barton on vocals. Very good sound quality, possibly from a soundboard source. The sound mix is good but the crowd noise and guitar are on one side with the bass and drums on the other. Overall, the sound is excellent compared to the first volume (above) even if the voice and bass guitar are slightly saturated. Great show! CD 3: [DL010] (71:05, 17 tracks) Live at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel, Providence, RI, 24nov79 Tracks 3-8 include Lou Ann Barton on vocals. Excellent audience recording.
